Time Settings
The Time Settings card is where you will assign Pay Policy, Holiday Policy, Shift, and Default Allocation information to the specific Employee Profile selected.

Pay Policy
Shows the Employee's assigned Pay Policy. Based on your permissions you may be able to edit this section. To make changes to the available Pay Policies, visit the Pay Policy Maintenance section.
Note: If this needs to be changed please contact your HR department. -
What does it do?
Pay Policy determines what an Employee sees when they look at a Timesheet, available Pay Codes for logging their time, and many other far reaching effects such as Maximum Hour Parameters, Overtime Restrictions, Punch Rounding, and other Pay Policy specific designations.
Note: If your system is tied to an External HRMS system, your use of these tools should be discussed with your LightWork consultant, as your external source is used to control any information about an Employee record not housed exclusively in LightWork like 'Performance' and 'Time Settings', 'Notes', 'Certifications', and 'Events'. -
Holiday Policy
Shows the Employee's assigned Holiday Policy. Based on your permissions you may be able to edit this section. To make changes to the available Holiday Policies, visit the Holiday Maintenance Holiday Policy section. -
What does it do?
Holiday Policy determines what holidays an Employee gets paid for when auto pay is run. -
Shift
Shows the Employee's assigned shift. -
Access
To modify access to this section, utilize Group Security Maintenance. Controlled by the Profiles - Time Settings securable.
Note: Once a change has been made the 'Save' button does not enable but you do get a Green success pop-up notification.
